Why is the payment in Bitcoin only?
Card processors require KYC and retain payment logs. Bitcoin lets us settle without sharing customer identity with a third party — which is the entire point of an anonymity service. Lightning support is on the roadmap.
How is the payment verified automatically?
Every order is assigned a unique BTC amount (down to satoshi). Our backend watches the chain continuously; the moment a transaction matching your amount lands at our address, your license is activated automatically — usually within one block.
What does “lifetime” actually mean?
For the lifetime of the Proxy Hopto service. Your account never expires, never gets bandwidth-throttled, and never gets billed again. If we ever sunset the network we'll publish a verifiable warrant canary 90 days in advance.
Do you keep any logs?
We store the bare minimum required to run the service: your email hash, your password hash, your order amount and the public BTC txid. No connection logs, no DNS logs, no bandwidth metering per user. Exit nodes drop traffic metadata at hop time.
Where is the company registered?
Hopto Networks Ltd. is registered in Mahé, Republic of Seychelles. Seychelles is a non-EU, non-FATCA jurisdiction with no mandatory data retention laws and no MLAT obligations for civil matters.
Is what I do with the proxies illegal?
Use is governed by our Terms of Service. We forbid CSAM, doxxing, malware distribution and targeted harassment. Everything else — privacy, scraping, bypass — is your own jurisdictional matter.
